What Can I Eat?

Posted in WeightLoss & Dieting by admin on the September 24th, 2008

Over two-thirds of all deaths in America have been linked to diet related diseases. Most of us are overfed yet undernourished. Part of the problem is lack of knowledge; along with conflicting reports, Upbringing / Lifestyles, Unhealthy eating patterns, Nutrient deficient foods, Soil depletion, Chemically altered foods and Genetically mutated crops.

Proper nutrition can enrich your health. We all have our different nutritional needs due to the protein content of a personal eating plan; it is diverse and unique from individual to individual. The total caloric needs and protein requirements make up the foundation in creating your personal nutritional plan.

Most people tend to eat too much of the wrong thing at the wrong times, and not enough of the right thing at the right time. So you ask,… What can I eat

The majority of your calories should come from lean proteins. Proteins are the basic building block for muscle growth. As our muscle density increases, our bodies will burn more calories (fat), which in turn will produce a body with more lean muscle mass and better tonality.

Eating the right foods at the right time can make a difference. Most people today simply skip breakfast or grab a quick snack. This is not a good start for you day. Would you put diesel fuel in your Lamborghini? If you did, how do you think your car would perform? By not eating the proper foods at the right time, you cannot expect your body to perform properly. Your breakfast should consist of a good source of protein usually 20% more will help control those cravings for sugars as your day unfolds. Egg whites are a natural good source of proteins (about 4 to 6) along with fruit and whole grain cereals using 2% or skim milk is always a good start.

Consuming organic foods are of better quality and are a better choice. Naturally, grown foods based in good quality soil will allow your body to get the most efficient use of the nutrients your body requires to fully function at it’s best. Fresh fruits and vegetables should be included in every meal most often it is not. Fresh fruits will give your body the extra boost of energy it requires throughout the day where as fresh veggies will supply your body with the needed vitamins and minerals to maintain nutritional balance in your over all diet.

A sure way to be safe in choosing what you should eat is to remember, if it fly’s in the air, comes from the sea or walks on the ground eat it. Look at the ingredience; If you can’t pronounce it, then don’t eat it.
