How Pheromones Work

Posted in Human body by admin on the March 2nd, 2006

World is based on attraction between women and men. Nowadays when people just rush communication between sexes is more difficult then ever. Many people rely on pheromones and it is acceptable in the currant circumstances. In the next lines you will be informed about everything you must know - what are pheromones, how they work and why there are moment when we need them the most.

Actually there maybe more that two decades since men in Europe have been using sexual attractants laced with pheromones. Recently pheromones have been available and legal in the U.S. Pheromones exist everywhere in the organic world. They are a chemical sex signal that all insects, animals and humans secrete to attract the opposite sex. In fact, the behavior of insects and animal in most cases is controlled by pheromones. Pheromones are detected by the vomeronasal organ which is located in the Nasal Pit (directly under the nose). When the vomeronasal organ receives a pheromone signal it sends a massage to the brain. The brain stimulates the body and creates the very important increase in sexual desire. First of all, scientists found vomeronasal organ in the nasal cavity of mammals in 1703. It is a chemoreceptor organ which is completely separated from the nasal cavity the majority of the time, being enclosed in a separate bony or cartilaginous capsule which opens into the base of the nasal cavity. It is a tubular crescent shape and split into two pairs, separated by the nasal septum.

How Pheromones Work - 2

A few well-controlled scientific studies have been published demonstrating the possibility of pheromones in humans. The best-studied case involves the synchronization of menstrual cycles among women based on unconscious odor cues. This study states that there are two types of pheromone involved: One of them is produced prior to ovulation and shortens the ovarian cycle, and the second, is produced just at ovulation and lengthens the cycle. This is analogous to the Whitten effect, a male pheromone mediated modulation of estrus observed in mice. Other studies have suggested that people might be using odor cues associated with the immune system to select mates who are not closely related to themselves. In 2006 it was shown that a second mouse receptor sub-class is found in the olfactory epithelium. Called the trace amine-associated receptors (TAAR), some are activated by volatile compounds found in mouse urine, including one putative pheromone. Orthologous receptors exist in humans providing, the authors propose, evidence for a mechanism of human pheromone detection.

Scientists admit that the heterosexual male attention to the female breast is one of the truly mysterious phenomena of the universe. Modern medicine offers various ways to improve breast health, to enlarge it or to make little changes connected to the skin problems for example. As we know female breast starts to increase its size when the girl is at least 8 years old. In other cases breast start maturing until age 13 or 14 or even later. Every female has a individual biological “clock” that tells her body to start producing high levels of the female hormones estrogen and other hormones such as progesterone and other estrogens. For 5 to 6 years female breast go through about 5 stages of maturity. Usually this process ends when the female complete age 17 or 18.

Male Impotence - Methods of Diagnosis and Treatment

Posted in Human body, Men's health by admin on the March 2nd, 2006

Methods of diagnosis

The Latin term for male impotence is impotentia coeundi which describes simple inability to insert the penis into the vagina. The medical condition is characterized by the regular or repeated inability to obtain or maintain an erection. Erectile dysfunction can be diagnosed by several methods. Duplex ultrasound is one of them and it is used to evaluate blood flow, venous leak, signs of atherosclerosis, and scarring or calcification of erectile tissue. Injecting prostaglandin, a hormone-like stimulator produced in the body, induces erection. Ultrasound is then used to see vascular dilation and measure penile blood pressure. Measurements are compared to those taken when the penis is flaccid.

Erectile Dysfunction or What Causes Male Impotence

Posted in Human body, Men's health by admin on the March 2nd, 2006

Does erectile dysfunction really bother you? Many men think that there is a period in their life when sexual contacts are not any more needed. They do not think like that now but when they start to experience difficulties in their sexual life this is maybe the first horrible thought that appear in their mind. Male impotence is a kind of sexual dysfunction. It is characterized by the inability to develop or maintain an erection of the penis. Like many other things in human’s life erectile dysfunction (ED) is not inevitable. It can be cure or replaced by some medical treatments. Nowadays time is so stressful, electric and uncontrollable. We might don’t understand it right now but in couple of years we can feel it on our own. Our body is weaker, our nerves are tortured and our inner life seems to be ruled by unstoppable external powers. We cannot obey them without a single try to cope with them, right?

Impotence can be of several types: arteriogenic, venogenic, neurogenic, endocrinologic (or hormonal), mixed, psychogenic.

Arthritis types

Posted in Human body by admin on the March 2nd, 2006

Primary forms of arthritis: Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Septic arthritis, Gout and pseudogout, Juvenile idiopathic arthritis, Still’s disease, Ankylosing spondylitis.

Osteoarthritis, also called degenerative joint disease, is the most common type of arthritis. It is associated with a breakdown of cartilage in joints and can occur in almost any joint in the body. It most commonly occurs in the weight bearing joints of the hips, knees and spine. It can also affect the fingers, thumb, neck, and large toe. It usually does not affect other joints unless previous injury or excessive stress is involved. The chance of developing the disease increases with age.

Most people over age 60 have osteoarthritis to some degree, but its severity varies. Even people in their 20s and 30s can get osteoarthritis. In people over 50, more women than men get osteoarthritis. Symptoms of osteoarthritis most often develop gradually and include joint aching and soreness, especially with movement, pain after overuse or after long periods of inactivity, bony enlargements in the middle and end joints of the fingers and joint swelling and joint fluid accumulation.

Arthritis - Forms and Therapies

Posted in Human body by admin on the March 2nd, 2006

Arthritis is one of the diseases which scare every middle-aged human and it is reasonable. As we know arthritis is a joint disorder featuring inflammation. A joint is an area of the body where two different bones meet and it functions to move the body parts connected by its bones. Arthritis as a medical problem literally means inflammation of one or more joints. The worst is not the pain, it is the diagnosis.

Presently we know many forms of arthritis which run to more than 100. The forms range from those related to wear and tear of cartilage (such as osteoarthritis) to those associated with inflammation resulting from an overactive immune system (such as rheumatoid arthritis). In brief together, the many forms of arthritis make up the most common chronic illness in the United States. That’s why we offer you not only product which will help you to treat the disease but more - how to behave. Arthritis can be caused by many things and basically depend on the form of arthritis. Causes include injury (leading to osteoarthritis), abnormal metabolism (such as gout and pseudogout), inheritance, infections, and unclear reasons (such as rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus).

Symptoms Of Arthritis

Posted in Human body by admin on the March 2nd, 2006

Put plainly arthritis is inflamed joints. Sometimes it affects just a single joint, though often it hits many joints at once. Often sufferers of different diseases fall prey to arthritis - it is strongly associated with many other things. The bad news is that arthritis is a long lasted condition that tends to get worse.

There are two diseases under the banner of arthritis - rheumatoid and osteoarthritis. The first of these is the worse kind. The second kind is much more common though - if you are over sixty you are more likely to have osteoarthritis than not: some 80% of over 65s are sufferers. Oftentimes this is seen as one of the inevitable effects of getting a little older - think about the number of time the joints will have been called into action in sixty odd years.

Osteoarthritis can be painful and plenty of people find it very unpleasant, but it is much more bearable than rheumatoid arthritis. Osteoarthritis starts out with stiff joints, maybe along with a noticeable limitation in the range of movement of that joint. Sometimes it proceeds no further, sometimes the joint will become stiffer and the movement will steadily diminish.
