Usage
The use of Renova is necessitated when one needs to improve the appearance of the skin. It helps in decreasing wrinkles, roughness of skin and improves the glow of the skin. Renova can also be used in treating acne.
How to use
Renova should be applied once a day before going to bed. But before doing that one has to clean the face with a mild soap and let it dry. For its application one should take a small amount of it and apply it on the skin surface. But one should also take care that the cream does not get in contact with eyes, mouth and nostrils.
Side effects
Renova has its share of side effects. Burning, itching, stinging, peeling, dryness and scaling of skin are some of its possible side effects. But the side effects should cede once the skin adjusts to Renova medication. If the side effects continue for long, one should stop applying it and contact a doctor.
Precautions
The precautions that one should take before going for Renova are:
• Tell doctor about any skin problems that you suffer or suffered from
• Tell him / her whether you have any allergy
• Exposure to sunlight should be minimal
• If you are pregnant consult your doctor for its use in skin care
• If you are breast feeding you should also consult a doctor.
Drug Interactions
Before using Renova let your doctor know whether you are using any kind of isotretinoin, amodarone, tetracycline or quinolone antibiotics etc. as they seem to increase skin sensitivity to the sun. It may also interfere with any other medication, so it would be beneficial for you if you tell your doctor about what sort of therapies you are going through.
Overdose
In case of overdose you should contact emergency room of local poison control centre. Renova may be harmful if swallowed so avoid doing that. Excessive redness, of skin, peeling of skin and discomfort are some of the symptoms of its overdose.
Missed dose
Missed a dose, do not worry take the missed dose as soon as you remember. But if it is nearing the next dose then skip the missed dose and wait for the next dose.
Storage
Renova should be stored at room temperature and kept out of the reach of children. It should also be kept away from direct sunlight and freezing temperature.
