Flonase (Fluticasone Nasal)
Flonase is the brand name for fluticasone nasal. Flonase is a steroid and is used to limit the ejection of inflammation causing substances. Nasal allergy symptoms can also be treated by flonase .
Flonase dosage and directions
Shake well before use. If the pump is being used for the first time, or after a week or more, it is necessary to pump into the air. To clear your nostril, blow your nose properly. Tilt your head before you want to make use of flonase. Clean the applicator after use. It is advised not to use same flonase bottle for more than 120 times. Consult your doctor if you have eye infection or any other allergies.
Flonase medication
One should regularly use flonase dose as prescribed. Do not take overdose of this medicine as this may cause serious side effects. It comes in the FDA pregnancy category C. It is not a prescribed medicine for children below 4years of age. One should not use more than two sprays per day for both nostrils.
Flonase side effects
Though flonase does not cause serious side effects, still if you feel any allergic reaction, like difficulty in breathing, or swelling of lips, tongue, or blurred vision, contact your doctor immediately.
