Eating Out Tips
Eating out can be a trial but here is how to stop eating out from ruining your diet.
1. Share a meal. Have you noticed how restaurant meals are usually more than enough for two? Rather than eat it all or take the leftovers home why not share the meal with a friend. It will stop you over-eating and do your wallet good, too.
2. Already eaten. A good strategy for formal meals is to arrive having already eaten. This means you can pick and choose just a few things without ruining your diet or appearing rude.
3. Plates. If you always eat all the food at your meal, try serving yourself on a smaller plate. You can pile up the food and yet easily fool yourself into eating less than you usually do.
4. One bite leads to another. If a bite of something sweet, or of your favorite dessert, means you can’t stop having another then steer clear of that first bite and choose something you are not very keen on. That way it will be easier to have a couple of bites and leave the rest.
5. The allergy. Cut most buffets down to size by declaring that you have a wheat allergy and can’t eat any bread. This allows you to pick on the less fattening outer fringes and help yourself just to the food you want without any of the food you don’t.
